![]() It's frustrating, but not enough to detract from the rest. The only slight downside is the absence of things to do when you get stuck - the other characters won't talk to you unless it's plot-related, and will sometimes ignore you until you solve a particular puzzle. You have a great sidekick in the form of Joey, a great comic foil in the form of Lamb, and there's enough shifts and reveals in the story to keep you interested until the end. The Orwell-meets-Douglas-Adams storyline is dripping with black humour, and is a nice change from the self-referential gags of US graphic adventures. The graphics are among the best on the Amiga (and makes you wonder what Space Quest 4 would have been like in the hands of more capable converters). xxxx Availability Revolution Software generously released this game as freeware under the Beneath a Steel Sky Freeware License. And a good conversion of a PC game, with graphics and gameplay both surviving intact. ![]() Not quite Monkey Island brilliant, but still a classic.
